How to reload information under the Parameters folder without restarting Pleasanter

Answer

It is not possible to reload the information in the Parameters folder without restarting Pleasanter. However, it is possible to reload the information in the Parameters folder from the Pleasanter screen (without executing commands). Access "http(s)://{ServerName}/admins/reloadparameters" while logged in to Pleasanter as a Privileged User.

Overview

It is not possible to reload the information under the Parameters folder without restarting Pleasanter. Normally, an operation to restart Pleasanter on the server is required, but privileged users only can reload the information under the Parameters folder by accessing "http(s)://{ServerName}/admins/reloadparameters" while logged into Pleasanter. However, even with this method, Pleasanter will restart.

Cautions

  1. Pleasanter will restart when this function is executed, so Pleasanter will be temporarily unavailable. Also, if the timing of registering new records or updating records in Pleasanter overlaps with the timing of the restart, it may not work properly, such as data inconsistency. Do not execute this function while the system is in operation. When executing this function, notify users in advance and take sufficient precautions such as stopping operation of Pleasanter for a certain period of time before executing it.

  2. Executing this function only reloads the parameter file, and does not reload various definition information. Therefore, use this function only for checking parameter settings in a development environment, and refrain from using it in a production environment.

Prerequisites

  1. You must be logged in as a "Privileged User". If you execute this function while not logged in, the login screen will be displayed. Also, if you execute this function while logged in as a user other than a "Privileged User", the parameters will not be reloaded.

Operation Procedure

  1. Log in to Pleasanter in advance as a "Privileged User".
  2. Change the settings of the parameter file as appropriate and save the file.
  3. Open a different tab (or window) of the browser used when logging in, enter "http(s)://{ServerName}/admins/reloadparameters" in the URL field, and press Enter. After pressing Enter, the screen will turn blank.
  4. Return to the tab (or window) where you are logged in and reload the page.
  5. Verify that the parameter settings you changed are reflected.
