What is the difference between a time-limited table and a recorded table?

Answer

A time-limited table is used when you want to manage a clear "Deadline". A recorded table is used when you want to save and share data as information.

Overview

Here is an example of how to use a "Time-limited Table" and a "Recorded Table".

Time-limited Table

Use it when you want to manage a clear "Deadline".
Example) Progress management, issue management, business negotiation management

To manage deadlines, a time-limited table has the dedicated column "Start", "Complete", "Work volume", "Progression Rate", and "Remaining Work Volume". The "Complete" column must be entered, as it is particularly essential for deadline management.

Also, the "Gantt Chart" can only be used with a time-limited table.

Recorded Table

Use it when you do not need to manage deadlines and want to save and share data as information.
Example) Daily work report, glossary, FAQ, etc.

Recorded tables do not have dedicated column like a time-limited table. Recorded tables are also suitable when you want to use them as master tables.
