Can Local Users Registered Before AD Integration Be Authenticated via AD?
Answer¶
Local users registered before the Active Directory (AD) integration will be subject to AD authentication.
Overview¶
When integrating with AD, the value of the "Provider" parameter in the "Authentication.json" configuration file is typically set to "LDAP". This enables login using the password configured in AD.
If, for any reason, you cannot use the AD password, set the value of the "Provider" parameter in the "Authentication.json" configuration file to "LDAP+Local".
This allows users to log in using their local passwords.
Since there is only one user record, there is no difference in user behavior—such as post-login permissions—regardless of which password is used to log in.
