Overview¶
This explains the procedure for upgrading Pleasanter in an environment using Enterprise Edition. Be sure to check this procedure especially if you have expanded columns.
Cautions¶
-
Be sure to obtain a database backup before upgrading.
- FAQ: PostgreSQL database backup and restore procedure (using Docker)
- FAQ: MySQL database backup and restore procedure (using Docker)
- FAQ: PostgreSQL database backup and restore procedure (using Docker)
-
Be sure to use the license file that you are currently using. In particular, if you have expanded columns, if you run CodeDefiner using an expired license file, the expanded columns will be deleted and you will not be able to refer to the entered data.
Prerequisites¶
- This procedure assumes that Pleasanter has been upgraded to Enterprise Edition.
Operation Procedure¶
- Execute the upgrade (before running CodeDefiner)
- Execute the upgrade (execute CodeDefiner)
- Start Pleasanter
- Check the upgrade
Operation Procedure¶
1. Execute the upgrade (before running CodeDefiner)¶
-
Refer to the following steps in the procedure "Upgrade the Docker Image of Pleasanter" and perform the upgrade. "2. Add app_data_parameters folder, etc." does not need to be performed.
-
1. Stop Pleasanter
- 3. Update the parameter file
- 4. Add a new parameter file
- 5. Change the version written in the file
- 6. Create the next version of the container image
2. Execute the upgrade (execute CodeDefiner)¶
- Execute step 7 "Execute CodeDefiner" in the procedure "Upgrade the Docker Image of Pleasanter".
If the next version is 1.4.8 or later¶
If the number of columns used for the extension is reduced in "Run CodeDefiner", the error message "<ERROR> Configurator.CheckColumnsShrinkage: The columns will be shrinked." will be displayed and the program will end, and CodeDefiner will not run. If an error occurs, the column to be reduced will be displayed as shown below, so please check again that the parameter file and license are correctly applied.

If you want to allow the reduction of columns, specify the argument "/f" in the command to be executed in "Run CodeDefiner" and execute it.
3. Start Pleasanter¶
-
Execute the following command.
The stopped container for the current version of Pleasanter will be recreated as a container for the next version and started. -
Access with a browser and log in.
4. Check the version upgrade¶
- Log in to Pleasanter and check the following from "Help" - "Version" in the navigation menu.
- The license is "Commercial License"
- The license expiration date is correct (if the license is valid until the end of February, it will be displayed as 3/1)
- The user is correct
- The version is correct
- If the column has been expanded, check the following.
- Open any table, and in the navigation menu, go to [Manage] - [Manage Tables] and in the "Editor" tab, the extended columns (Classification 001, Number 001, etc.) are displayed in the list of options.
- Open the editing screen for the table in which the extended columns are set, and all columns are displayed.
