Overview

This parameter file is used when migrating the Pleasanter DB from SQL Server to PostgreSQL. Please refer to the following page.
"Migration Procedure from Pleasanter's DB from SQL Server to PostgreSQL"

Cautions

When changing parameters, please refer to "Confirmation When Changing Parameters".

Migration.json for Version 1.4.13.0 and Later

Limitations

  1. As shown in the table below, there are restrictions on the types of databases that can be migrated.
Source Destination Availability of this procedure Remarks
SQL Server PostgreSQL Yes -
SQL Server MySQL Yes Cannot be migrated with Pleasanter version 1.4.12.0 or earlier
PostgreSQL SQL Server No -
PostgreSQL MySQL No -
MySQL SQL Server No -
MySQL PostgreSQL No -

Setting Values

The setting values for this parameter file are as follows.

Parameter name e.g. Description
Dbms "SQLServer" Specify the source DB. Only "SQL Server" can be specified.
Provider "Local" Only "Local" can be specified.
ServiceName "Implem.Pleasanter" Specify the source DB name.
SourceConnectionString "Server=(local);Database=#OldServiceName#;UID=sa;PWD=<sa password>;" 〈Template〉 *1 *2
"Server={Source DB connection destination};Database=#OldServiceName#;UID={Source DB user};PWD={Password};"
ExcludeTables ["SysLogs"] Set the tables to be excluded from migration in array format.
The following tables are excluded from migration.
・{Table name}
・{Table name}_history
・{Table name}_deleted
AbortWhenException true See "Behavior When an Error Occurs During Processing at the Migration Destination (Version 1.4.13.0 and Later)" below.

*1 {Source DB user} requires read permission on the source DB.
*2 #OldServiceName# is a placeholder that replaces "ServiceName".

When using SQL Server without a TLS server certificate as the source DB, such as in a development environment, add TrustServerCertificate=True; to the end of SourceConnectionString.
For details, see "Notes on Connection Strings When Using SQL Server as the Database in Pleasanter 1.5 and Later".

Behavior When an Error Occurs During Processing at the Migration Destination (Version 1.4.13.0 and Later)

When AbortWhenException = true

The migration process is aborted immediately.

Example:

Table1.Data1 = Migration succeeded
Table1.Data2 = Migration succeeded
Table1.Data3 = Migration error
Table1.Data4           → Not migrated.

Table2.Data5           → Not migrated.
Table2.Data6           → Not migrated.

When a migration error is detected for Data3, the migration process is aborted immediately. Data1 and Data2 are registered in the destination DB, but no data from Data4 onward is migrated.

When AbortWhenException = false

Migration of the data with the error is skipped, and the migration continues.

Example:

Table1.Data1 = Migration succeeded
Table1.Data2 = Migration succeeded
Table1.Data3 = Migration error
Table1.Data4           → Migration continues.

Table2.Data5           → Migration continues.
Table2.Data6           → Migration continues.

When a migration error is detected for Data3, the migration of Data3 is skipped. The migration process then resumes with Data4, Data5, Data6, and so on, and all data up to the last is subject to migration.
