Manage Table: Screen Index: Default View
## Overview
Set the "Default View" for the "[Screen Index](/en/manual/table-grid)". By using the "Default View", you can set the initial state of the "[Column](/en/manual/table-management-column)" to be displayed when the table is first opened after logging in, as well as the "[Sort](/en/manual/table-record-sort)" and "[Reorder](/en/manual/table-record-sort)" of the list.
## Restrictions
1. The default view cannot be changed for each "[Department](/en/manual/dept)" or "[User](/en/manual/table-management-choices-text-users)". To dynamically switch the default view, use the "DefaultViewId" of the "siteSettings object" in the "[Server Script](/en/manual/table-management-server-script)".
## Prerequisites
1. "Site Administration Permission" is required to configure settings.
1. One or more "[View](/en/manual/table-management-view)" must be created.
The "Default View" option is displayed only if a view has already been set.

If a view has not been set, the "Default View" will not be displayed.

## Operation Procedure
1. Open the target "[Table](/en/manual/table)".
1. Click "[Manage Table](/en/manual/table-management)" from the "Manage" menu.
1. Open the "[Index](/en/manual/table-management-grid)" tab.
1. Select the desired setting from the "Default View" selection box at the bottom of the screen.
1. Click the "Update" button at the bottom of the screen.
