Notes on Migrating from Your Web Database, etc.

①Back up the necessary library data in CSV format

CSV format is a general-purpose data format that can be read by many systems, so we recommend saving the data that needs to be migrated in CSV format. However, it is important to note that CSV format cannot save attachments or image data.

②Save image files and attachments by linking them to records

The migration of image files and attachments is basically done manually. If you have a huge number of attachments, you may need to select the files to be migrated. It is a good idea to add a record ID to the file name so that you can identify which data the file is linked to, and then save it together with the CSV file above.

③Check the operating environment and functions of the destination tool

When migrating from a web database that can be built in an on-premise environment to a web database that can only be used in the cloud, you may need to be careful to select information that cannot be made public.
In addition, in terms of functionality, make sure that what was possible with the existing web database can be achieved with the destination system.
