## Overview
If the search does not return any hits, there are several possible reasons, so please try the operations corresponding to each cause.
### 1. When the search word does not match the search target due to the search typesetting
Example) When the "[Search Type](/en/manual/table-management-filter-search-types)" setting is set to "Partial match of the title", but a keyword that is not in the title is searched for, etc.
The search conditions differ depending on the setting of the search type. Please set it according to your usage situation using the following procedure.
1. Select the table you want to search and display the record list screen
1. From the navigation menu, select [Management]-[Table Management] to display the table management screen
1. Select the [Search] tab, change the [Search Type] in the search settings, and press the "Update" button
For details, please refer to the manual below.
[Table Management: Search: Search Settings: Search Type](https://pleasanter.org/manual/table-management-search-type)
### 2. When the search type is set to "Full Text"
When SQL Server creates a full-text index, word segmentation is automatically performed, so if you search for a word that is not registered, it will not return any hits. For details, refer to the detailed section "Full Text" in the manual mentioned above.
### 3. When the search type is set to "Full Text" in an environment where the full-text search is not enabled and you search for records imported from CSV
If the search type is set to anything other than "Full Text", a search index will not be automatically created for the CSV imported data. Therefore, if you set the search type to "Full Text" after importing, no hits will be found in the search. In order to search correctly, you need to rebuild the search index. To rebuild the search index, follow the steps below.
1. Select the table you want to search and display the record list screen.
1. From the navigation menu, select [Management] - [Table Management] to display the table management screen.
1. After selecting the [Search] tab, press the Rebuild Search Index button at the bottom.
For details, please refer to the following manual.
[Table Management: Search: Operations: Rebuild Search Index](https://pleasanter.org/manual/table-management-rebuild-search-indexes)
### 4. When searching for records before enabling full-text search in an environment where full-text search was enabled
If you enable full-text search for "[Search Type](/en/manual/table-management-filter-search-types)" during the process, records registered before enabling full-text search will not be registered in the search index, so there will be no hits in the search. To search correctly, you need to rebuild the search index. To rebuild the search index, follow the steps for rebuilding the search index described above.
